Tried saying they were Telstra security specialists looking at our internet and we aren’t even with telstra

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

Scam call (which I knew as soon as they told me they were from Telstra who I have no services with). Tried to tell me that my internet was going to be cut off, even though I'm not with Telstra because all the internet service providers have to run through Telstra. They knew my name and email address, but were thrown when I denied that they had my correct email address. When I called them out on their scam they hung up very quickly. They gave me some address in Exhibition St in Melbourne as where they were calling from, and when I asked exactly why they were calling me they proceeded to rattle off my information (no surprises - I was a victim of the Optus leak) rather than tell me why they were calling. When I pressed them, all they would say is that my internet was being cut off.

Caller: Thay said dodo

Wanted me to download from the app store said dodo was running slow

Knew my first name and phone number and claimed to be from Dell to discuss my phone and data plan - complete scam.

Caller: (03) 9016 0110

Do not answer this number. As other posters note, they are a scam caller. Rang multiple times, left no message.

Said they were from Telstra and there was a security issue with my line, I suggested it was a scam call and they advised it wasn't and then continued to ask more details. I said I couldn't answer any further questions as I was at work and asked me what time to call back, then hung up. Strange. Was this a legit call?

Received the same call as the previous poster. When I asked why Telstra was contacting me seeing that I wasn't with them. They told me Telstra was responsible for all of the internet providers in Australia??? They also called multiple times in a row. Pretty clearly being used as a scam number.
