SCAM. Claims to be from Taxation Office and lawsuit has been filed against my family for fraud.

This phone number is now being listed on computer screen in a flashing popup with multiple overlaid screens of Microsoft details and moving banner claiming Windows Defender Security has blocked an App: Ads.fiancetrack(2).dll which has Trojan spyware that collects email addresses, Facebook login and bank details. Also says the computer is blocked from access to the internet and to contact Windows Support (03) 9015 9463 (Aust Head Office). All fake information to try to get computer access.

I received the same call that day

Received a call from (03) 9015 9463/">(03) 9015 9463 with this pre-recorded message:

“Hello. This message is to inform you that Australian Taxation Office is filing a case under your name for the tax fraud, and the investigation team of our department is investigating you and your family. We had tried to notify you regarding this issue, but we had never got any response from you, so, it has been considered an intentional fraud and a law suit has been filed under your name. In order to get more information, you can call our department number on (03) 9015 9463. I repeat, its (03) 9015 9463. Thank you.”

Recorded message from the tax department stating that I was committing fraud and that myself and family were being investigated 😁 scam!!

Received same voice message. Think it’s a scam, have not called back

Yes I had the same message claiming to be the ATO - scary.

Scammer automated voice recording (Robocall) claiming to be calling from the ATO. Apparently they've been trying to reach you and as you haven't been contactable, they are lodging tax fraud action against you and your family. Listened to entire message, called the number back, respondent answered as ATO, however when asked who I was speaking with, they promptly hung up. BEWARE - DON'T ANSWERING THIS CALL - NUISANCE and POTENTIALLY UNSAFE.

It was a recorded message when I answered, so I hang up. I called back and the man answered Australian Taxation Office.

Said I had outstanding tax payments and I could be arrested for it and so on. Soon as I caught on they hung up lol

Left a message saying our family was being investigated by the ATO - I tried to call back and someone answered the first time but then hung up on me and now no one has answered any other call back!

Appears to be a scam. Recorded message stating that I am "Being investigated by a department and legal action being taken against me"
