Caller: Alex from Telstra

Told me there were lots of people using my internet and wanted me to log on so that he could guide me through the steps to see who was using my internet and how to stop them. Asked him for his ID# and he said D13547. I spoke to Telstra who confirmed no employee with that ID.

Scammer- says there is an internet problem with your wifi & computers

Caller: Said his name was Paul Stanford

Said he was from Telstra and there was something wrong with my internet. My internet was downloading malicious files. Asked me to log onto my internet. Asked for his number to call back. Left his name as Paul Stanford Phone number (03) 9014 9712 ID 1992. Asked me call back which I didn't do as there is nothing wrong with my internet. Looks like a scam as Telstra would never make calls like this.
