i received few missed call from this no, they said is calling from virgin

I have just received one too. Missed the call though and following your comments I have deleted the number.

This number is a computer bot that calls numbers randomly to see if your number is live. Block the number if you can, never answer it, and NEVER ring the number back.

I didn't recognise this number, so I did answer it. After reading the comments here I'm glad I made the right call.

They called me again today. When I picked up they hung up... very annoying as I was in the middle of work

Received a called today 06/07/11 at 2pm and previously had the same number call at 6pm 23/06/11.. I'm a virgin mobile customer - noticed a few other virgin/optus people had commented too

I've had repeated missed phone calls, when i called back it was oceania customer service?? They claim to do research for optus amongst other agencies

How to block this number from calling. I got this call every week, aargh!
