These idiots call every day asking to speak with the owner of the business. They are advised every time that management will not talk to them & to remove us from their call list, yet they still call back the next day. This guy spoke perfect English, so that's not an excuse this time.

i keep getting phone calls from this number but no-one talks when i answer. I wonder why they can't be charged with harassment or even stalking to see when i'm home. I don't know who they are or what they are but they should desist immediately from the intimidating, harassing and invasive nature of their persistent calling and hanging up without saying anything or leaving a message.

Telemarketers/Power comparison.
Reading the comments above and the frustration caused by repeat calls, I would suggest simply blocking numbers identified as spammers. On an iphone, just go to recent calls and touch the exclamation mark next to the number in question (right hand side), then scroll to the bottom and select "Block this caller". done! For other devices do a Google search for how to block callers.
You could ask to be removed from their call list or for them to not call again but in my experience they rarely take action on such requests and for the most part is only a pointless exercise as they buy these lists regularly and if your number has made it on to one or several of these lists, then it will circulate among telemarketing companies despite your efforts to stop it.
In addition, the more people that report these numbers on sites like this one, the easier people can identify these numbers. I just wish industry watchdogs and other government agencies like ASIC, ACCC and ACMA would investigate the numbers we are reporting and penalise these companies if they are found to be in breach of the Telemarketing and Research Industry Standard 2007 of which I'm sure most are. There is also a "Do not call register" but a lot of telemarketers have been found to be in breach of this. If interested see here:
It's one thing to be subjected to advertising on a constant basis out in the world and through the internet and media, it's another thing to be subjected to it in our private lives via phone calls and texts at all hours as well. It's us against them as far as I am concerned and I would never do business with them out of principle. How can you respect a business that doesn't respect you?

Same old telemarketing calls every single day, no matter how many times they call the answer is still no and they still call. I wish there was a technology where you can send a bitch slap down the phone line now that would be something I will sign up for.

Yes received a call from this number which after 10 seconds of no one answering, hung up on me. I rang the number and its some sort of call centre but with no name attached. Just asked to leave your name, number and a detailed message. Obviously an overseas telemarketing firm.
Dodgy as hell

I don't know how they get my mobile number as its not advertised or listed anywhere - still I never answer it (except to the two people who have my permission to call) so it doesn't matter.
