Caller who asked for the owner of the business by name. The caller Adam Taylor, claimed to have talked to the owner and said they talked a couple of months back. He Wanted to set up a meeting with the owner as he was in Victoria now and had missed a meeting with the owner, all of which the owner knew nothing about. He also mentioned a contractor that we worked with.

Caller: Mark Bezic - PH Group

Called and asked for Director by name and like other comments used enough details to make him appear to be a known contact, including a local competitors name. Used a random 'mutual client' name. Tried to take message for call back. Became rude and aggressive when I requested additional, more precise details for the return call message.

Caller: Jeff Collins

Jeff Collins from PH Group calls every few weeks. Is nice at first but when he can't get through to the owner of the business or the person he asks to speak with becomes very rude and aggressive. My advice is don't take his call.

Name dropped our CEO, made references to our industry and an area we are currently expanding to. Mentioned another random name as a mutual friend that the CEO hadn't heard of.

Caller: Frank - PH Group

'Frank' called and spoke to business owner. When owner realised it was a marketing call, he referred Frank to me (thanks Owner!! lol). Frank called me and was very agressive, rude and pushy wanting to make a time to discuss on hold recordings. When I asked about price, Frank got very cranky and refused to discuss price. I ended up hanging up. RUDE AF!

Adam Jarvis - used enough details to make him seem like a known contact - when he got through to the manager - was just a PR company looking for a meeting and wanting to sell on hold ads. I'm sorry - but if you have to lie to get through there is no f*cking way we are spending any money with you.

Caller: Ben from PH Group

Ben has a lovely English accent and is from PH Group (07) 3184 6014, within seconds of answering call he name dropped 2 industry associations our business holds memberships with and mentioned other members used their services (when I asked who he couldn't answer).... from what Ben told me they do phone on-hold voiceovers. My point, if your business is reputable, why be dishonest on the phone, be honest. Noone will develop business by cold calling this way. I've notified both industry associations and members that I know, as this is just next level. As soon as you receive this call your toes will tingle, your spidey senses will be on and you'll feel the scam coming through the phone.

I had the exact some call, knew the Directors' names and called using (07) 3184 6014. Became impatient when I wouldn't put him through, claimed he was from PH and they would know what it was about. I thought the PH sounded familiar and this post confirms it.

Jeff claimed to know my boss and said put me through, he knows who I am. My boss doesn't know him. Made up a whole story about talking to him a month ago about having a meeting etc. Absolute lies, complete scammer !!!

They used my name and mentioned it was in relation to a competitor, interested i googled PH group and the numbers, lots of negative comments form the UK , the US and now in Australia....

Even if the product is good, i am not interested in dealing with a company that have to lie to get through to me

called today from (07) 2100 2522 asking to speak to director. after much pushing, the nice person told me their sales pitch and i said if we were interested we'd call them back.
was rather polite, but different person calling from the last few times.

Now Calling from (07) 2111 3906 - Same Story as the rest , saying he knows the business owner and has spoken previously , scam or annoying but continually over 12 months of calls with the same answer cant talk to anyone but the name of the person they have found online that may be associated with the business , also becomes threatening when you call them out on being full of sh*te .

Caller: Mark Besik

Called and asked for our director by name, said be was calling from PH Group regarding (a local competitor) and that my boss would know all about it. He gave the number (07) 3063 0754 to call back. My boss doesn't know anything about him.

Now calling off this number (02) 4003 4992 but is the same Adam 'Javis/Taylor'

The caller Josh asked for the owner of the business by his first name. As he wasn't here and I asked him the question what is this regarding, Josh became a smart arse wondering why I didn't know who he was. Unappreciated phone, wasting my time.

Caller: Luke

Caller from this number said his name is Luke from PHMG and is returning a call from the owner of the business, used the owners full name.

Owner was not available so I asked for his details for a callback and he said he wanted to catch up with owner from a few months ago (returning a recent call yet catching up from months ago sounds fishy)

I eventually spoke with the owner and he has never heard of PHMG and has not spoken to anyone named Luke.
