It is Suncorp (or at least I was contacted from someone saying they were from Suncorp) and gave their insured's claim number. Of course I also experienced the same non answering when you ring back, but the claim number was genuine and an assessor has now inspected I think they use the number to maintain a one way dialogue - just like banks!

This number, and various others calls all hours of the day or night (4:16 am today!). It links into a number of other spam calls I have received over the last few weeks, and relates to a group trying to get personal information

Caller: GIO?

Claimed to be from GIO and said that the call was being recorded. First question I was asked was what is my first name and my last name "for security purposes". My response was, "why can't you say what my first name and last name is?". The caller then asked for other personal details, which I did not provide. I was told it was in relation to an insurance claim, but the caller then asked me to provide the name of the other person involved in a car accident... I think this was some sort of scammer...

claims to be AAMI. Regarding an acco. she l eft a message with a claim number. will not give me details of other driver which would indicate it is a scam.

I've just had a call advisign me that they were calling about a recent car insurance claim, I haven't had an accident so I'm thinking it's a scam. When I said the car is fine and there is no claim she said oh ok I'll note that down, yeah good on you as there is nothing to note - number now blocked.

person rang from this number about repairing my car after damage in a car park. Pretended they had something to do with an insurer( not mine) or repairer and made comments about did I mind if conversation was recorded!!!! As I had already arranged repairs I saw this as suspicious and told the caller NO and hung up. Didn't get a call back. Sound like a SCAM.??

I called back number (03) 9006 1200 just kept on ringing no one answered the call and never got any voice mail.
