If you are a Telstra landline customer & want to block nuisance calls like this one, you now have the option of buying a phone from the Telstra Shop that can do this. The phone itself costs $48 and is well worth the investment. Numbers you BLOCK will hear the following message; CALLS TO THIS NUMBER ARE BEING MONITORED BY TELSTRA GUARDIAN; THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO CONTACT IS NOT ACCEPTING YOUR CALLS, SO PLEASE HANG UP. People you place in your contacts list will get through as usual but anyone with a private / withheld number or a number that is not in your contacts list will hear this message; CALLS TO THIS NUMBER ARE BEING MONITORED BY TELSTRA GUARDIAN; PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME AND THEN PRESS # AND WE WILL CONNECT YOUR CALL. You will then have the option of either accepting or rejecting the call.

Yes, this number does belong to Apple Telemarketing Group. I like it how people will willingly bend over for a thrashing when they hear the word "Charity". Apple Telemarketing Group is NOT a non for profit organisation and should NOT be exempt from the do not call register. If you ask them, they will tell you that they are collecting money on behalf of certain charities. However, they do stand to make substantial earnings in the process (This, they will probably not tell you). The only reason I know, is because I was a job seeker about a year ago and I saw their job posts on more than one occasion, stating that you stand to earn over $1000 per week. These people are no better than vultures who hunt pensioners. I know because my parents are pensioners and have donated money to them in the past. Now the calls don't stop. Every day, they say it's for a different charity.

They're still at it. Very irritating. Apple Marketing supposedly raising money for Heart Foundation. Really pushy, phone about the same time every day or two. They launched into a lengthy rehearsed schpiel telling us how wonderful we to have donated once before (biggest mistake we ever made) and could they please have some more money. I let them talk for about two uninterrupted minutes before saying sorry, no, whereupon they began launching into a new presentation as if I had not said no. I was forced to be brusque.

This is a telemarketing group called the Apple Charity Group. They are contracted out to call people asking for donations. Salvation Army, Heart Foundation etc. I called on my mobile and it went through to reception. Appeared to be a friendly bunch. No harm.

Have had missed calls from this number on home phone. It rang tonight at 7.30pm, we were eating after getting home late. Something about Apple....I didn't let them get the rest out, told them not to call back and hung up. I'm on do not call register, but if they are fundraising they can call which sucks!

I asked who it was and he said it's the Salvation Army?!? Did he really lie and use them to get to me and take my money, or what?

Claimed to be acting on behalf of creditors of a deceased family member's estate. Hung up. How low can they go!

Had a call today on my mobile but did not answer thankfully. Googled the number and came up with this page. I've now blocked the number on my Iphone. Thanks for the heads up!

This works for any telco including Telstra and cheaper. I paid $25.59 to buy a call blocker that can block up to 1500 numbers. Simple to use, simple to permanantly block calls as they happen or afterwards. Had it 3 months now. Silence at dinnertime from the landline is beautiful. Search the well known online auction site. CT-CID803 blocker

they rang me twice this afternoon - googled the number and found this page
like most young people, these days I simply don't answer any calls from numbers I don't recognise - 99% of the time they're just gonna be asking for money
