Called on a different number, left a garbled message to call this number to know more. Strongly suspect a scam.

Caller: Telstra (Supposedly) Of course it wasn't. Said it was to do with NBN and if I went to my computer they would guide me through what I needed to do to connect. When I expressed doubt as to the genuineness of the call and that the caller was indeed a Telstra employee, they proceeded to give me the name of the employee and their employee number. plus a number to call to confirm that all was genuine. What a lot of rubbish. I have had previous calls from these "criminals" but without the added employee name and number which I don't doubt have fooled some people into giving them access to their computer. I can't help feeling a great deal of animosity towards these crooks and if there was any way of getting them into serious trouble I would happily do it.;

Caller: John Adam My computer had a fault and it was playing havoc with Telstra lines. Took $2500 from my bank account. This time I thought their call was genuine as they gave me a Melbourne telephone number.

Caller: Optus Technical - Emy Said my internet has been hacked and they needed to access my computer to fix it. Accessed my computer via Teamviewer. After some time of questions and searching on my computer I noticed the questions were bank account based not internet. Caller asked me to set up internet and that it would only need to be activated for a couple of days.
