This was a recorded message threatening that an arrest warrant would be issued if I didn't contact them in regards to a lawsuit. Total bullsh*t!

I got to know one couple from Brisbane who is the victim of this case.

They are new migrants, and they thought their tax agent has provided wrong information to the ATO.
After recording, they called back and the guy later on start speaking in Nepali.

I just wanted to know, is here anyone who is from Nepal and faced the same ?

Robot voice saying call this number as there was a law suit pending.

A recorded message saying from ATO, a lawsuit has been lodged against me, request me to call them back. It is a scam, hang up immediately.

Same as previously reported - recorded message threatening arrest if I didn't call back. Hahaha!

How do mobile phone companies allow this sort of behaviour??? and why cant we block spam text messages! Poor customer service!

Totally bullsh*t call and telling arrest warrant had been issued. If you return their call change your name and address after that you could know this call is fake

Have just received a cal from this number. They new everything about me. Name, address, phone number, who I bank with. They threatened me with an arrest warrant said that I had not filled my tax return properly and I now owe 8k. Scammers....

this number left a message saying it was the ATO and that a lawsuit case is being filed against me and if I am not heard from I will be arrested.

missed a call and the message told me the same thing and to call back on this number...and sounds super dodgy

Same as above an automated call/answering machine style msg regarding an arrest warrant. Didn't call back once they left a msg.

They called me and left voice message and they said if I don’t call back they going to arrest me and they said this the taxation office
