A man (with Australian accent) called on another number claiming to be a representative from Telstra and that my parents computer was damaging Telstra lines and urgent changes needed to be made. He gave this number and my Dad called him back then proceeded to follow instructions given to make multiple changes to all areas of his computer which has now caused irreparable damage and locked the computer. Unfortunately my Dad was unaware that this is scam. Please hang up on any person calling claiming they are from Telstra, they are ALL trying to scam you!

Got a phone call from this number Indian women claiming she's from Telstra and that our internet connection is faulty and if we don't fix it we will be disconnected. I asked for the contact number which she gave me this. When I call an Indian man answered claiming his from Telstra.
I think its fair to say it's a scam when someone (not a machine) answers for a very busy network company! And there contact number doesn't relate to anything to do with Telstra when you type in Google.
Not to mention I'm not with Telstra.
