Has called my mobile number twice claiming our telstra plan has expired and tried to update it. Had details including landline number, address and date of birth to verify. Was going to email new proposed plan - it never came. Tried calling again with same spiel although this time claiming to be NBN rather than Telstra.

Caller: Woman called Ash. This number is genuine. They are telemarketers working for Telstra. I received a call from this number on my mobile phone. She knew my personal information, like saying it and asking whether it was correct, so I personally didn't give any information out. She was discussing a new Telstra plan. I received an email as they said they would and then called back. I didn't answer those calls because I am always super suspicious when receiving calls. So I rang up Telstra about it and also about the number and everything the telemarketer offered (plan) was correct and also the number was validated by Telstra. So I did do the new plan when I rang up Telstra. So this number is genuine and are telemarketers working for Telstra and are not scammers. I hope this helps for people in the future.
If you're not sure on numbers, never give out information and then ring up the main business number that they are claiming to be from.
