I wonder how many legitimate business are blocked due to this?

Received an email this morning about a smoke detector test. Within an hour I get two calls just minutes apart. On previous tests, they will call from random numbers, mobile phones just to get you booked in. I’ve even had an electrician knock on the door asking me to arrange an appointment. They are a terrible company but no doubt compensate the real estate agents well so they continue to flourish

This company cancelled an appointment with me on the same day they were meant to turn up, asked me to reschedule and since have called, text and emailed me every day for the last 2 months. It's nothing more than harassment but I'm happy to keep playing 😅

Follow up call from service that was carried out for fire alarm/smoke detector testing - legitimate business.

Detector Inspector calling to arrange for a smoke detector check, which has just been completed. Seems their call centres have no idea of when the checks have been completed. The ongoing harrassment is annoying. Over servicing and I suspect they bill the landlords for their oversevicing. Operate like scammers.

The person on the other end had fished for me to answer yes/no questions then tried to look up the information she rang me to confirm. Make me think this a scam caller fishing for information!

They are a legitimate company, arranging smoke/electrical/gas inspections which are mandatory every two years in rental properties in Victoria. They are a terrible company to deal with and give you the run around actually trying to book an appointment at a reasonable time, but they are legit. Luckily their technicians are actually very good and professional, it's just the customer service/call centre/ company that is badly run.

They call them selves Detector Inspector but this is very suspicious. They keep calling me. They said “on behalf of the landlord/property manager” but my property manager has never mentioned the smoke alarm test. Don’t let these guys in your house. They might set a camera or audio recorder in your property. I suspect that it’s scam.

Absolutely agree. This mob keep calling a d when we call back they can't make an appointment so request to call us back. And there begins the ridiculous circle of phone tag. Our numbers are silent and I really wish this mob didn't have them!
They also gave our neighbour the run around by not turning up and she took time off work. I just ignore them now. Blocked.
