Heavy Indian accent. Claim to be from ABS (Australian Benefit Services).Extremely rude. Stated they only wanted 20 seconds of my time to complete a 1 in 5 year survey about my job. Refused to answer my questions about why they were calling me and accused me of not speaking in English. Advised I would be lodging a complaint for harassment before terminating the call. They rang back twice claiming the line cut out. I advised I terminated the call before they continued to harass me and claimed I should speak English.

I love these calls. Been getting them for the last 3 or 4 years. Same story, calling from ABS blah blah blah, I immediately tell them that they have got me at a bad time because I was just about to start screwing their mother!!!! ;)
Then the fireworks start. It's hilarious listening to an Indian trying to be insulting but I just unleash a tirade of abuse on them. To their credit they don't back down, one of the little asswipes actually tried to sound a little menacing by calmly saying "we will never stop calling you". I love taking out all the days frustration out on them. My advice, turn a negative into a positive and abuse the crap out of them, you'll feel better and you will no longer cringe when their number appears on your screen, instead you'll get excited that after you get off the phone you'll be a lot more relaxed!!!

Just got a call from another 'time waster' to my mobile who claimed she was from a 'Job Benefit Service' or something like that.

She asked me how I was.

I said okay, what do you want - and she ended the call, so I've added (03) 8807 0917) to my reject list.

Got a call from this number today, same accent and claiming to be from ABS. One would assume this to be the Australian Bureau of Statistics. After the third question I got suspicious and said I did not wish to continue.

WTF... where is our government agency in all this ...

a new number for these people, but they have been calling me for years. it all started from a fake survey i took almost 4 years ago. i loaded up my responses with fake answers so i know it's the same people. SCAM SCAM SCAM. avoid at all cost. fake "government incentives".

Rings at the same time everyday. Survey about older working Australians. Informed them we are in the "do not call" register and suggested they hang up.

I swear the caller said Australian Bureau of Statistics when she first spoke, which is why I answered her questions. I did start to get suss though. Unfortunately only checked this number after I hung up. Probably means these people are going to be bothering me again as they have done for the past 5 years

So sick of this stupid scam. I have been blocking them for 6 years now. I have about 10 of their numbers blocked. Yes, it’s information from old surveys. They had my address from 10 years ago, my old details and my maiden name. So over them.

Just blocked. Got 2 in a row, also from same number starting with 0613 instead of 03

Must have got me in a moment of weakness. Asked for job information, full or part time, home owner or renting. Have blocked number but I guess I'll get more targeted scam calls now. What an idiot, normally don't give them the time of day.

I had a call several weeks ago from this number claiming to be the ABS conducting a survey on employment. After answering a few questions, as I was a "homemaker" I was not in the demographic and the survey ended. They rang back today saying they had some tax incentive advice from the government for me that I might be able to qualify for. They reminded me of the survey I took a few weeks ago. But this time they were from a company, not the ABS. They were looking for more information so they could help me. I declined and hung up.

Annoying, answer call and person instantaneously hangs up! They have called multiple times... Get a life!

Same thing call from a Indian lady saying she was from ABS, she was so rude and claimed I did a survey with them. She said she wasn't trying to sell me anything just wanted to know if I wanted info from the government on how to save money. I said no and she hung up.

Repeated calls from this number. Asked for me by name. Heavy accent stated I had answered a govt survey and was entitled to savings on my mortgage and other debts not happy they have got info from somewhere.

Another call from "Employee benefit Services" enquiring about my status. Told her to "go away' in ever so nice terms. Now blocked the number on my phone.
