Caller: Supposedly from Telstra Indian sounding woman telling me to switch my computer on as there was an issue with security and she would walk me thru it. I told her I didn't intend switching my computer back on and I couldn't understand half of the words she was saying and she just hung up on me...…….later on I tried dialing that number and it said it wasn't connected. Surprise! surprise! The only good thing about the awful thing that is happening around the world right now, is that all my many call-centre callers (that I kept their numbers marked DO NOT ANSWER) had just STOPPED RINGING...…….YAAAY! Seems they are starting again now unfortunately. So flipping annoying!

Am working from home due to COVID so thought it was a client calling me - they didn't leave a message but I tried calling back - was told "The number you have called is not connected, please check the number and try again" Obviously a scammer.

Caller: (03) 9879 72538 I received a call from a very very noisy call centre on my home phone. Had been ignoring them but they kept setting the answering machine off and waking my husband who is suffering from cancer. He said (in a very heavy Indian accent) that his name was Ryan Wilson and my internet was in dire straits. I asked if it was a scam he said no. I asked for a call back number and his Telstra ID no. He gave me (08) 8151 0197 to call back on and said his ID was DA1449. I hung up and tried to contact Telstra but gave up waiting.
