I've got several calls from this number. I just pick up the call, it is from RACV and ask me to renew my car insurance. I believe this is genuine call from RACV. Because my car insurance with RACV was about to due and I called RACV and try to negotiate better premium with them and it was unsuccessful. So I told them I would shop around. Later I went with other insurer. Now RACV called me back, it is too later for them. But for your own safety, you'd better call RACV back if you decide to make payment over phone rather than pay directly over this phone number..

Call today saying they were from RACV, and that my membership had lapsed and if i wanted to renew over the phone. I wasnt prepared to....not from someone calling me and no real verification that i was actually talking to RACV.

Just received a call from that number, & very faintly heard someone ask, 'Is that XXXXXXX - and it was my name. Because of scams, I just kept saying, 'Hello' & they hung up. So I have no idea who it was.

I believe RACV uses outbound telemarketing call centres for such purposes as reminding customers that their policy has expired and payment is therefore required. Also to sell new policies. Probably not a scam.
