Missed call from this number, called back and was put through to racv. Was a reminder because my insurance policy had recently lapsed.

I got call at 7:54 pm, 20-Nov-2012 from
(03) 8792 4000. The caller hung up without saying a word.

I registered for an online login for RACV and when I checked my details, this number (03) 8792 4000 was added as my home address. It must have been done at the time the policy was taken out as a default number as they only had my mobile number. Needless to say, I updated with my correct home number.

Been getting missed calls from this number. Rang it back today and got an answering service that said it was RACV but the number has changed. To contact RACV call 13228. All my RACV insurance and Total Care is up to date....I think it is a telemarketer trying to sell me something, probably insurance...they are obviously displaying a non working number as their calling ID. Blocked this number now.

Answered, a few seconds of complete silence like a dead line then hung up. All my insurances up to date so not sure on others RACV thoughts.

I received this call as well, similar to yours, no answer and definitely it came from RACV. I presumed this call would be if your insurance policy has been elapsed even thought it has been extended for payment. (RACV checking if you are still there, which is really not respectful)

Could be RACV but maybe not?? In any case best not to make a payment based on an incoming call even if your policy is due for payment - could be anyone.

I just got a 87924000 I have recently spoken to Bingle car insurance and RACV, however I don't know if it's them..... I think this number is linked to a dept collector..

I have received 3 missed calls from this number on my mobile from this number today. 4 hour intervals. Could this be a telemarketer using a predictive dialler. I will not be answering any calls from this number

I got a missed call and went to my voice mail and when I listened to the message I could here a male breathing heavy on it... Do I call the number back or not

received 2 missed calls from this number and they did not leave a message. My covernote for car insurance that expired yesterday. However, when I took out the insurance the RACV person made a point to state that when the 21 day period lapsed they would not call me or send a letter as it is up to me if I chose to take the insurance out.

Got an sms on my mobile to say that I need to call that number ((03) 8792 4000). looks like you guys are correct, it must be the RACV as I have an un-renewed insurance policy. I have used another ins. co anyway.. thanks :)
