Keep getting called by these idiots claiming to work for telstra and give cheaper monthly bills. Knew my name address and DOB. Very scary. Whenever they call now i say they have the wrong number and they hang up.

These numbers are doing my head in I'm nearly ready to cut off home phone just cause of these idiots

Since I told the asian-sounding guy whose name I could not understand (sounded like Ravon) to go learn how to speak English properly, he now just rings and hangs up a few seconds after I answer the phone. Obviously he has not got anything better to do with his life.

Got a call from this joker today claiming to be the company who offers discounts on behalf of Telstra. I asked what the name of his company was and he refused to tell me just kept saying that he's contacting me on behalf of Telstra. He said because I have had my phone number for over 3 months now (which I haven't) that I was eligible for a monthly discount. I asked him "what's the catch" he said because I run a business I'm entitled to a discount. My number a home phone number!! I asked him if we had my records in front of him and he hung up! Jerk!

The trick is to answer but not say anything. Then it does not connect in the auto que at their end and it hangs up. Lets face it if someone wants to talk to you they will say hello. Notice how you always initiate the talking. Try it, works every time.

Yep, these people keep calling a few times a day in the afternoon around 3pm! First they said they were Telstra, ask them for their Telstra ID number they rattled off some bullsh*t! Then I told them my boyfriend works for Telstra, which he does, then I hung up!

Ahhh yes... this number is becoming troublesome me thinks... first time it happened to me I believe my first word was "Hello" followed closely by "Not Interested" he of course continued to try and pursuade me into getting the service I mean come on man... once okay but 5 or more times?! They're just asking for a verbal beating which I gladly gave =D
