I don't think it's AUSTAR as they would be risking a bit to do something so stupid. What gets me is the utterly useless avenues to have these matters dealt with. Signing on to the do not call register seems to do f**k all and service providers are as annoying to deal with as these calls not to mention obviously useless at chasing these wa**ers down and prosecuting.

This number has called me twice today and three times yesterday, no one ever answers, there is just background noise and then it drops out. Very annoyed.

called 2 days in a row now, at about 5:30 pm,i just keep rejecting the calls

It says it is a message service for AUSTAR and they want to get in touch about a special promotion ...........

I revived a missed call from this number today and searched on here and seen everyone's replys then decided to ring them back and it went through to an Austar missed call service in relation to a new promotion lol.

why is this sort of thing allowed to continue- surely the Communications Act or some other legislation would allow action to be taken against any company who continually makes nusiance calls. This number has been ringing me everymorning between 6am and 7.30am for the last three days just $@%& irritating

got called twice now. I'm in Nth Qld. Young Girl voice saying" How you going in Qld" Then line drops out mentioned name "alana"

Have rung my mobile 5 times in 2 days. Last time I answered it..silence..then they mentioned my name..and 2 seconds later the line dropped out..very annoying.

this person rang me to talk to my partner, they couldnt tell me what account it was regarding and said theyll call his mobile, coz they have it...

this number has called me relentlessly and im in bed grrrr... who is it??????

I called Austar, and they said it's not them.I have recieved these calls about 10 times this week, when I answer, there is noone there, and call back, it just cuts off. I don't answer it now and have reported the number.

Its Austar pay TV. They have left over 100 messages on my mobile.

same thing has rang every day for 2 weeks no-one spesks

same deal, ringing and ringing me usually same time everyday for over a week now. Will get to the bottom of it, regardless. Have a few leads. Definately spam calls.
