I got my first call from this number today, on my home phone and a few seconds later my mobile. My number is on the do not call register...though that has only reduced the calls, not stop them. I read the comments and I find it realy odd a company ringing all these people and never talking. What is the point?

I've also started getting calls from this number - it is highly annoying and even more so when I see comments where they are supposedly not flouting the law - this is clearly an invasion of one's privacy at very least and ominous as one could become a victim of some telephonic money scam. The aFP should have already shut this number down or investigated if they are so concerned about the safety and well being of all Australians, and the sececurity of our country.

I'm in Perth -Have had numerous missed calls from this number over a couple of years.
I was in bed with a migraine today when they phoned me again.
Caller asked to speak to me using my previous name (have had the same number for 12 years - changed my name when I got married 10 years ago).
When I asked who was calling, was told that it was some foundation - caller had an accent so didn't get the their name or the name of the co they represented.
When they again referred to me by my previous name I said " wow, you have a really old mailing list don't you"
Caller said "yes I have" and hung up
Was disappointed that he hung up - i was looking forward to finding out more about the people, company or organisation behind this number - just confirms that these people are DODGY

this number has called me 2-3 times in two weeks. I have no idea who they are? It's good to know it's potentially a 'call centre' (going by the previous comments from other people)I thought it might be some poor elderly person misdialling.

Get called nearly every day at similar time from this number, but tonight got one on land line and within seconds to my mobile. I am wondering where they got both numbers, Would have to be from my TELSTRA account!!!???

These people called again and hung up when I answered. If you call (03) 8678 2600, 01, 02 ,03, the lines are always busy. Seems to be from a call centre in Victoria or Tasmania.

I keep getting calls from this number and it hung up on me the first time I answered so now I don't answer, but they keep calling!!! We're a silent number AND on the do-not-call register!! How can they have my number???

Im getting calls from this number at least once a day. Tried calling back but just hangs up after a few rings. Definitely glad to know others have had the same issue. Will be getting this one blocked. Thanks guys :)

MY telephone system captured this caller (03) 8678 2603 six times in the last month, Feb 2012. My system answers, detects that it is a number that I have programmed in to "block" and immediately terminates the call. This one I've named PEST "F" as there are another 5 persistent pest callers. But they still clutter up the system and their activity log has to be deleted. If I'm awake, say after midnight etc, I get even with all 'pests' who don't leave a message by calling them to advise they have called a 'do not call' registered number and to desist. Some make a terrible fuss ?1@#$&*!!!.............

Calls me too! He/ she/ it does not answer, but somebody is on the other end, for sure. Glad I found this posts!!
I am going to call telstra, just not acceptable when you have babies and little kids from friends over!

Same here. I am getting spammed by a large number of (03) calls. I just answered this number 5 mins ago and they hung up after a few seconds. Would love to know what this is all about? What they are trying to do?

They call me also, I do not answer but they have rang several times a day for the last months, contemplating getting an unlisted number

This number has called fourteen times today. I didn't answer until the seventh call, and they hung up on me. SICKOFIT!

I get at least three missed calls a day for the past month. Extremely frustrating
