This company is called CPM Asia pacific. They work for AGL.

I'm a customer with AGL for gas. The sales person of CPM Asia Pacific tried to up-sell me the energy and gas plan for 24 months, said that I could have cancelled within the cooling off period.
I agreed, then I changed my mind after 5 minutes and called back, after reading around that the offer was not that good at all, asking to cancel. The person was upset because I asked to cancel.
It turns out he did not cancel the switch! Now I have to go through the painful steps of my other provider and AGL to figure out how to cancel that.
Very very very annoying.
And then telemarketers do not understand if you shut them down just after they say few words? Unbelievable.

Called 5 times today on different numbers. Left a message and I tried to call to say stop calling me but they hang up. I'm 15 I don't want to switch to agl. How did they even get my number?

I got the same thing,..this nubmer kept on calling and not leaving a message. I anwered it today and the guy said he was from agl and he was offering a a discount of 10% and asked me if i want to switch my power bill --and i said now..hopefully it will stop ringing now:))

give the number a contact name eg "AGL telemarketer" and when the name pops up on your phone just don't anwser it. whats the big deal?

These people are calling me several times a day. They never leave a message. Very annoying. I am on the Do Not Call Register as well.

I've been getting daily and sometimes more than daily hangups from this mob for over a year (possibly longer, I dont remember). They never leave messages, and they often hang up when you answer (apparently these companies use computerised dialling... a scattergun approach... REALLY dodgy, IMO). My phone number is on the do not call register, as well as being a silent number. Why do they think they are exempt from the laws that state that they shall not call. I';ve stopped spam in my letterbox, I've pretty much stopped it online... now... how the hell to stop this annoyance. I've just emailed them and given them a serve and a half, and told them to clean out the lists and clean up their act. Its pathetic. Of course the only thing that will happen is now they have an email address, that will get spammed too

rang AGL and gave my info. They say they know nothing about it but will pass onto Customer Complaints. telstra uses this mob and I left them for another provider. How about we start our own Big Change on this site and it will take AGL to realise loss of business after 20% of us go. But OH! anyone know another gas supplier out there.

This number calls me on my mobile from time to time. I never answer it and they never leave a message. I just got a phone call at my direct work number from them!!! So now they are harrassing me at work!!! Creepy and illegal surely?

I'm an AGL customer too. From reading the above comments, I'm guessing I'm in for a lot of missed calls. I never pick up if I don't recognise the number. If it's important they can leave a message.

What I cannot understand is why call if you are not going to even say a word?Then again, it could be that they have to show that they have attempted to make a call and so charge their clients. If they keep calling just to falsify logs that they have tried to sell whatever they are selling, then keep charging AGL or whoever they call on behalf of. Let AGL get a big bill from them.

Im pretty sure you can report them if your on the 'do not call register' jump on their website and there is a link to make a compliant. They're all bloody painful
