Caller: Female, strong accent. Claimed to be ANZ checking a transaction I'd just made online. True I had just made a transaction and the caller knew who I was, the amount and where the payment was made to. Caller claimed to be 'just making sure the transaction wasn't fraudulent' and rang off.

Caller: Someone claiming to be from ANZ I have made "unusual" transfers and received this call within 30 minutes from making the transfers. The lady wanted to confirm that I had made the transfers. I did not have to provide any new information - just had to confirm that the transfers were made by me. I contacted ANZ and they confirmed that the call was legit and it was just a safety as the transactions were for large amounts and not to bank accounts I usually transfer to.

Caller: ANZ Bank Legitimate number from ANZ. My account has been locked because I switch to a new phone and made some transaction. After half an hour a gentleman called me and asked me whether these transactions are made by me and if I am scammed (No sensitive data needs to be provided to him because it seems like he knew all details of the transaction, even BSB and account number), and told me the consequence of being scammed. After I ensured him that the transactions are made by me, he told me that my transactions will be valid and online account will be unlocked. After the call ends I checked my account and it has been unlocked and the payment has been made as well. Pretty sure it is the official call from ANZ. Thanks to the hard working anti-scam team and the gentleman who is still working at nearly 12 a.m. to protect people from being scammed.

Seemed legit because they knew of a transaction amount but didn't seem right. Was querying a transaction amount that we do a lot. When we said yes this is correct there seemed to be no other purpose to their call but they continued. Concern for taking voice recognition. Banks tell us they don't call. We terminated the call. We didn't trust.

Caller: ANZ It is a valid ANZ fraud team’s number. They usually call to confirm any transaction which might have stopped by their system. If you don’t pick up they send email and text message and lock out your internet banking till the time they cannot contact you

Caller: ANZ Bank Credit Card team (03) 8654 9888 seems like a legit number. I didn't get to answer their call though as was on the phone with the online provider from which I was trying to purchase something. They were just advising me that my bank had blocked the transaction

Female caller with accent inquiring about online account transactions, refused to authenticate her identity when challenged.
My account was locked shortly after the call, I assume this is a genuine ANZ employee working within the fraud team, even if rather incompetently
