I got an unsolicited call from this number this afternoon. The chap, foreign accent, addressed me by my name. Then when I asked him to identify himself he tells me that he is from a company called Voicestop. Never heard of them. According to him I had registered with them online last night.. I didn't. He argued with me, insisting I had, I don't have contact with people who live in the Melbourne area. Ridiculous - I am on the Do Not Call list and he says that didn't matter. He was still entitled to call me. Can you believe this nonsense ?

It would appear that filling out a survey prompts these people to call even if you say no to everything. some questions there is no actual answer to it and they still call you. You can't win a prize without commiting to something. Even when you don't answer a question you get a call. They try every trick in the book. Go through every email you get and remove from their mailing list.

This number called twice. They did not leave a message and the second time I answered. That familiar pause after you say hello told me it was an overseas call centre. I terminated the call.

This appears to be a general overseas call centre that uses an Australian number so that you will be more likely to answer the phone. This seems to be more effective than "private number" or "no caller ID". I am assuming this, as I have had similar calls from Sydney numbers, that also appear to have come from overseas call centres. In this particular instance, I was asked aif I wanted to change my landline and internet plan that I had apparently asked for. But they have been very persistent in trying to call me.

This number keeps calling me. I just answered and asked if she wants to by a dildo from - Lets see if they call back

Keep getting calls from this number and continue to ignore them. Also have all phone numbers on no call register and this obviously doesn't deter them.

I have received calls on my mobile from this number, among a few others, but have never bothered to respond.
I do not know anyone in that area of Victoria since I live in another state and so have never replied. I feel that if it is a legitimate call they will ring again OR as in one legitimate instance use my home line. These scammers, probably operating overseas with a Melbourne number, are not going to be aware of my home 'phone number in all probability.
As somebody commented the "Do not call" list means nothing to them because they are out of the jurisdiction. Simply refuse to answer calls from the Melbourne area unless one has knowledge of the caller.

I called back number (03) 8640 9751 just kept on ringing no one answered the call and never got any voice mail.
