Person with a strong accent called (had trouble understanding him) The call had the usual call centre pause before they spoke then went on to ask me about my AGL bill.

Call answered and no body spoke. There was no noise what so ever so figuring an overseas call centre with a multiple number dial and first to answer looses and gets the caller. Comes after a few days of private number calls with the same thing.

Appears on my phone as Melbourne VIC. Said they were AGL, check if I was happy with their service, asked me to verify my details so I think perhaps it's a scammer.
Persistently called over the last couple of weeks. don't leave VM, nor a number to call back. After I didn't pick up calls from this number for a while, another number from Melbourne VIC started (03) 8498 5689, when you try to call it it says it's disconnected.

AGL Gas spammer

They called me ans had my name then as others have said, try to say from AGL and wanting to see if I'm getting the most from them. Then they ask for my details! Hang up straight away. In this age of scams, even if they are legit, AGL should try a better method than this. There was also a delay at the start which also makes it seem dodgy. How about at least an Australian call center to try your scams :p

The bozos, who call in on a VIC number had the nerve to call my mobile phone during the main race on Melbourne Cup day.... If that doesnt say overseas call centre I dont know what does !

it is AGL they are annoying with calls as they are reminders about upcoming bills this is an unnessasy way to contact customers if bills are not over due! not happy

The posts on this number say it is AGL. It probably is as I just got a letter from AGL telling me how I could save money with them if i add gas to an electricity account. Who needs hassling by callers - not me. So thanks to your site and the postings on it I know who called and I've added them to my Black List. I use Extreme Call Blocker it is brilliant.

They have called me from this same number 5 times this week. First call was asking me to hold on while the call is connected. I didn't. Other times as soon as I get the 'pause' I hang up.
Today I didn't even answer the call but now after seeing this, I'll need to try to block the number.

Have had several missed calls from them. today I called them back.

AGL Sales, I'm with them for gas, but they're wanting me to change my electricity to them... they are persistent and really don't understand it when you say you're not interested.

These idiots ring me all hours of the day and night I'm fed up sick of it had it!!!!!! Piss off you LOOSERS omg I work hard to get a wage and come home to relax and I get pestered by fools trying to sell me something it's bad enough with the Indian idiots selling everything and their grandmother s !!!!!!! GO AWAY!! I hang up on them fast

My experience is the same as many of the above, they have been calling me 3 times a day for several days, Indian girl or man claiming to be from AGL. Annoying in the extreme, they ask for personal details. If this really is AGL I'm going to swap electricity providers.

It's some kind of phone system cold calling people. few rings and it moves on. If you pick up it seems to go to a call queue. I never waited for someone to talk. I just hang up.

I don't know if its AGL. But I'm with AGL for gas so I won't be surprised if its something related to them.

As I picked the call - other party refused to speak up.

Call my work phone and my personal mobile straight after. No message. bit disturbing, how they even got the numbers

Called me and asked to provide and confirm my personal details.. Very annoying, no matter this is a real call from AGL or not. Won't accept this approach. I asked the lady remove me from the list, today, saw a missed call from them again. Block the number.

Definitely a spam, phishing call - pretending to be from AGL and asking me to confirm my address and name and DOB - then when I refused they just hung up on me!!!

Just received call number 4 for today from this number. I have now blocked after coming across this site.
