Caller: Telstra Follow-up call relating to a technician field visit, I assume. Calling five times in less than an hour is a bit much - I work with my hands so downing tools for every pushy tool who repeat calls me is not safe or sane. Telstra - the new overly obsessed girlfriend.

Robo call. NBN will be disconnected today. Press 1 to make contact. Press to disconnect from NBN.
I have received this robocall up to a dozen times over last 2 days. Telstra scam number says it is a scam.
Tried 3 Telstra Help numbers today to try and get them blocked. Couldn't contact Telstra on any of the numbers and when call back was selected on recording they called back and hung up before I could talk.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra This scam number rang my mobile this morning, I don't have any accounts with Telstra. I rang telstra direct to confirm that my number wasn't being illegally ported. Have blocked.

Caller: Telstra It's Telstra's call back number. I requested they call me back due to my internet being down. The only issue is that they called me back at 1am in the morning.

If this number is a well known scam (which it certainly seems to be) why the hell haven't Telstra (and other telcos) blocked the service. It's not that difficult.

This is a robot call asking to call Telstra - about "problems". I have a problem associated with incorrect billing related to my transfer from Telstra Business (via a non-Telstra private mob called Vita Group, posing as Telstra Business) so I pressed 1 as requested and was put through to a Telstra Residential billing person - who confirmed that my Telstra Residential account is up to date but he could not deal with Telstra Business accounts. All very pleasant but not helpful. He did refer my case to a person who can deal with both Residential and Business accounts.
PROBLEM: This robot has been calling my 90-year old mother who is a War Widow, living alone and who has been distressed by these harassing calls. I called Telstra and asked them to stop calling my elderly, partially blind mother - I am the authorised person on the account for her mobile which is for possible emergencies. The Telstra person (name & D-No recorded) recommended my mother call 000 - which is ridiculous.
I Googled and found that during business hours, my mother (or, more likely I) can call Telstra UNWELCOME CALLS on 1800 039 059, which we will do next Monday morning.
Fault is not 100% Telstra's
Telstra must be losing a fortune with all the hassles associated with transferring accounts and the NBN - it is not all Telstra's fault. My mother had a similar disaster with Optus when her landline and emergency call system was cut-off by NBN for 3 weeks during which time the little Telstra mobile phone I gave her saved her after she had a fall during those 3 weeks without a landline.
Our Telecommunications industry has been ruined by government decisions over the past 100 years. An appalling case of public sector mismanagement rivaling Pink Batts and the energy sector mismanagement.

These f*ckers called me at 3am twice got the same dial 1 or 2 option when I called back. So I blocked the number then got an sms to call Telstra. I then sms an abusive sms that not even Gordon Ramsey could better. Subsequently I haven’t heard back . The only reason I called the number back was I thought one of my kids was out and may be in trouble. Just a scam

Followed this up with Telstra - it is definitely a Telstra number - very apologetic and promised to follow it up themselves.

Called me at 1 minute past midnight. Didn't answer, but the call woke me up. I phoned back - Telstra recorded message that I'd had a technical issue & they'd tried to phone me for feedback. After midnight!! Did have a Telstra technical issue, resolved by 11am.
