I got 3 calls from this number in the space of 15 minutes that all went to my voicemail with a robot message to dial 1 or 2, which appeared to activate a call to somewhere else so I hung up. I rang the number from a landline and got a recorded message referring me to Telstra 132200. So I called Telstra. When they investigated, they said this (03) 8619 7779 number is NOT Telstra's, it belongs to a third party and is probably related to accepting premium text messages or some other commercial pay-for-service activity. In other words, it's somewhere between unethical and an outright scam. Beware!

It is Telstra! Calling me back in relation to a technical issue. I requested this call back which they did within the 2 hours as advised!! RIDICULOUS COMMENTS HERE!!!

I dealt with the people behind this number yesterday and they tried to scam a large amount of money from me. They are very skilful at phsycologically building up confidence in them and control of you. After finishing with them, they have continued to hassle me and I have received over 15 calls from them today. They are scammers, not Telstra Technical Services that they profess to be. I don't think they are in Australia as they start calling in the afternoon and continue until late into the evening so they appear to be routing their calls through some server here.

Yes, agreed it is indeed Telstra. The company failed to relocate a simple business landline for months, effecting my business dramatically. Their incompetence is incredible. Their communication is based around a call back link where this number (03) 8619 7779 calls and an automated robot says "Hi this is Telstra" Press 1 to receive a link 2 for a call back and 3 to stop receiving these calls...........................TELSTRA IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

The display on my PRIVATE landline showed an unknown number: (03) 8619 7779.
Today it's Tuesday 7th Nov 2023. Some robot woman (recorded message) left a message on my PRIVATE landline phone on MELBOURNE CUP DAY about an hour after the race, saying similar to "there will be urgent works done for 8hrs and 30 mins on your telephone, an outage will happen on 12th November between 8am and 4.30pm. Any queries ph 1300 650 213."
The 12th Nov is on a friggin SUNDAY!!!
In addition, the fact that these ratbags failed to mention what phone company will be doing these urgent works, definitely proves that it's a SCAM!!!!

NOT TELSTRA as Telstra does not phone anyone at all, according to their POLICY???? When are all our Politicians going to get the GUTS to officially attack and STOP these scammers???

They robocalled me stating that my landline would have an outage & the date & to press 1 if I received this message, when I did that it just kept saying sorry they did not understand please try again so I hung up. Still don't know if it's Telstra or not will find out if we actually have outage as stated.

I got a call from this number today. From what I have read everyone says it is Telstra. Msg was informing me that there would be an outage of this number on the 01/11/1917. If it was legit why did they get the date incorrect. I did not press whatever number it was to acknowledge in case it was a scam. You would presume that a large national company would get a date correct.

ITS NOT TELSTRA I just rang this number and it says your number cannot be connected please check number and try again,,they rang me left a 101 message,ITS A Scam

Had a message saying my land line will be out of action on sept 22nd for 6 hours,press this to speak to a rep,not the word used,I cant remember word used,it was a message left on 101 message bank,but was a robotic call,im going to contact telstra,usually if work around is being done,re NBN cause landline doesnt work when NBN is down i get an sms,i say scam,so deleted from 101,after listening to it 3 times,and still didnt make sense of it,ITS A SCAM<I just rang the number,****Your call cannot be connected,please check the number and try again,ITS NOT TELSTRA

Unsolicited call from Melbourne number telling me my landline will be down. But I live in Sydney. Last time this happened, the landline did not go down.

Left message saying service would be down on particular day and hours. But this is an 03 number and I’m in NSW. There were lots of numbers given to click to get different information. I didn’t click any of them.

Number called did not pick up looks suspicious to me. At no time do I want or request for unsolicited calls, so I do think it is a scam.
