Similar experience to other people. It's definitely AGL Anytime. I was a previous customer of AGL and I too moved to Click Energy and am in the process of changing over. After speaking with 'AGL Anytime' it's basically their customer retention department it seems, they offered to review their current discount and try and match the deal. I didn't bother wasting my time and told them I wasn't interested in any deal. Hope this helps someone. The CLICK ENERGY link is unrelated I believe, and is probably just a coincidence, as they're offering one of the biggest energy discounts in QLD at the moment.

I keep getting bombarded with calls from this number. I am in the process of changing from AGL to another energy provider, and now it seems AGL want to offer me a "better deal". Funny they didn't offer me any deals last week when I questioned why my last gas bill was 3 times higher than the previous month. I was told I was being "unreasonable" to expect a "cheap bill" over winter! Nice one AGL. See ya.

Yes, AGL has been ripping me off for years on electricity and gas bills, till Vic Compare comes to my rescue. These AGL guys have been keeping very quiet about their high tariffs until being woken up by the switch.

Caller: AGL AGL cut my solar rebate in half so I went with another provider.
AGL called on this number to see if they can match the deal and guess what, nope.
Bye bye AGL and stop pestering me with unsolicited calls!

Caller: AGL I got the feeling this would be AGL trying to convince me to stay after I got vacuumed back up into their system after their purchase of Click this years...After getting the one and only bill from them I was shocked at their pricing structure. Headed to Lumo for way better pricing so I expected AGL to call at some point. After starting to get calls from this number and not answering it multiple times I decided to check it out and found all these wonderful comments highlighting the ineptitude of AGL and their pricing...check ya later AGL!

Caller: AGL I recently switched energy and gas providers after AGL charged me $20 more for my electricity this month, despite using less than last month. Now they're calling me up to 4 times a day. Had to block their number and they still keep trying. Go away AGL!!!!

Caller: AgL Repetitive ringing asking me to stay with them despite being told multiple times I’m changing to another electricity company that is much cheaper. It’s like a desperate ex not wanting to let go. I do not have the energy to talk to them anymore.

Caller: AGL It’s against the law to use physical force, coerce or unduly harass a consumer. Undue harassment means unnecessary or excessive contact or communication with a person, to the point where that person feels intimidated, tired or demoralised. Coercion involves force (actual or threatened) that restricts another person’s choice or freedom to act.
Unlike harassment, there is no requirement for behaviour to be repetitive in order to amount to coercion.
Laws relating to privacy, harassment and misleading or deceptive conduct apply to all businesses – including debt collection agencies. The maximum civil and criminal penalties for harassment and coercion are $1.1 million for a body corporate and $220,000 for an individual.

Caller: AGL (03) 8611 5196 or after hours private number This Melbourne landline number is AGL. I call AGL the stage 7 clingers of the energy sector. Once you start a relationship with them, when you go to break up, that's when they get desperate and clingy, not letting you go !
After endless harassment and being bombarded with texts and calls about trying to upgrade my account, I wrote to AGL and demanded they stop including the breach of legislation under our consumer protection laws. This only increased the harassment and on one 24 hour period, I had 14 calls from them ( private number). They place you on a rotating auto dial system until you pick up. I then moved my account to another provider which, when you do this will amp up the contact rate. You can only do 3x things to make it stop. 1. Block AGL, but make sure you email them explaining " why" you are blocking them 2. Move your account over to a company that does not breach our harassment policies and 3. Write to you local federal member , listing the times and dates of these calls
Imagine how the elderly feel . A really backwards way to secure business AGL, get with the times

Caller: AGL Had problems with my AGL online account (saying I was 200+ days overdue in paying my bill, and switching me from quarterly to monthly bills without my permission) which they couldn't seem to resolve until AFTER I'd switched suppliers. Since then, endless calls from this number trying to convince me to switch back to AGL. Too little, too late.

Caller: AGL It’s AGL. I recently changed to another provider because AGL was charging me twice as much as the local average rate. Luckily I got the offer from my local provider. It’s funny how they want to change the rate once the customer has found out that they’ve been ripped off and want to leave them.

Caller: AGL IF PEOPLE OPT OUT OF AGL'S SERVICE, THEY CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO BE BOMBARDED WITH CONSTANT PHONE CALLS. IF AGL WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A CHEAPER SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS, WHY DIDN'T THEY? HOW COME THEY CAN NOW OFFER A REDUCED PRICE FOR THE SAME SERVICE. SORRY, THEY HAD THEIR CHANCE

Caller: I Believe it's from AGL They overcharged me more than $200 on my gas bill. When I rang and they said because I didn't send a picture of my gas meter, so they did a guesstimate. I said since when I am supposed to do that. Anyway, I found better offers for Gas & Electricity from other providers and I rang them and asked if they would do better. They said they would email me new quotes but more than a week past, received nothing. So I made the switch. After that they sent me email for better offer and phone calls everyday. I blocked the numbers and they used another numbers to call me. really annoying!!
