11 years later, I got the SAME text asking me to call Jim about a debt. It's an 03 number and I'm in QLD, so it HAS to be a scam.

Caller: eCollect

I had a text message saying I have an amount outstanding to call Jim asap, tried to call to see what was going on but it was engaged. Looked up eCollect, contacted them direct and they were confused to what I was talking about. Scam and a half!

I called back number (03) 8611 2674 reached voice mail for E Collect.

Caller: Jim

Text about debit dont owe nobody money did even spell my legal name properly and block & deleted what a scam shame on them trying to do this to people.

Caller: Some random ugly named Jim

Text saying I owe E collect, f*ck e collect 😂 never heard of that sh*t ever. Stop texting me you trash scam artist

Some bollocks about eCollect. I have never used this service. I've had 3 calls in as many weeks. Would love to know how to stop it.

I called back number (03) 8611 2674 reached IVR for E Collect.

Appears to be a scam. Text sent to my phone saying I have an outstanding debt. I have no debts at all, not even a video shop. I declared bankruptcy two years ago and have no credit. The Text is threatening my credit rating and says to call a person named Jim.
