Caller: Smart Health Australia I've done a little research into this company. For a commission, Smart Health Australia raise money for organisations that only meet the ATO's criteria for being Not-For-Profit, therefore bypassing the Do Not Call rule for unsolicited residential contact. Since this company was working on behalf of several charities is the reason that they have so many phone numbers they are able to use to invade our privacy. I'm probably way off but I have been contacted by & I've also blocked 18 numbers that are registered to Smart Health Australia, but I am absolutely certain they have a large amount more. I've often wondered why they attempt to contact me so often & use a different number to call from each time & use a different charity each time. I've had the unfortunate luck of being struck down with respiratory failure twice, it's like having a heart attack but it was my lungs that were affected. Each time the ICU doctors in my local hospital deemed it essential for me to be flown down to a major hospital in Brisbane & I was flown down by the RACQ Careflight helicopter. Anyway the reason for this long winded story was that a little while after each time I was flown down to Brisbane in the RACQ Careflight helicopter, RACQ Careflight called. Each time they called my mother took the call & feeling quite grateful that RACQ Careflight were able to assist me, she bought what they were offering each time. Which brings me to my second point of being contacted so many times by so many different numbers. Once the company realise a residence has blocked a certain number, I think they have a computer program that either informs the employee to use a different line or it does it automatically & said program informs the employee who to say they are calling from. Smart Health Australia is a parasite that is practically impossible to get rid of is my experience.

Caller: Ann Fitzgerald Raising money for Bullying charity. Rings all the time, any time, but I usually don't answer, goes to answering machine. She gives me the creeps, didn't realize it was a computer. Sick of the calls.

Caller: Ann Fitzgerald This is a pre-recorded message. It’s actually very clever as you can talk to her and she will respond with only a slight delay. Have fun with her and make her laugh. Ask her if she is a computer

The calls actually come from a computerised dialler with many exchange lines when you answer you are then connected to a call centre operator with a computer its all automatic via a computer programme i'm an EX telstra employyee and have also built these call centres so yes as my blacklist is growing so will yours.

Have had 2 calls from this number today. When my answering machine responds the call is immediately disconnected. I get similar calls from different numbers and these also disconnect an answer. When I call back to the number I get a message that the number is not connected. This tells me that the caller is dodgy and they should be banned from getting a Telstra service.
Surely Telstra can do something to stop unsolicited nuisance calls from this organisation.

I don’t answer unknown number as they are 99% nuisance calls, despite being on a do not call. I suppressed the call as soon as it came through and then checked the number here. These c*nts called me at 9:30pm. What. The. f*ck.

Caller: Charity of some sort where the name is very difficult to understand These people are becoming a menace. I get called on average about 2 x a day. Usually when I am at work. Like you say, they are barely meeting the criteria for a Not for Profit. I keep blocking them, but they keep calling on different number. They get around the Do Not Call and the interruptions are becoming annoying.
