A (garbled) message was left on my answering machine stating something about my home landline being on the do not call register, which it is, and that my account was in arrears (I didn't think I had an account with them) as well as having had legal correspondence returned unopened and unanswered. It then went on to say that a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I was to call the above number, which I didn't. Its all a bit suss, but I don't understand how the caller benefits. d
Received what appeared to be a recorded message

Received the same type of message from foreign English speaking who didn't state where they were from but that our home phone is on a hit list and that a warrant has been made for arrest due to tax avoid and evasion. Have absolutely no idea what this is about. Gave this number to call back but states number no longer connected. Pain in the ass!!! Come Get Me a**hole !

Also got a recorded message about tax evasion, etc. 23/May/2016... don't bother calling back... if the ATO really want to talk to you, they will find you.

Do not answer this call - it is a scam, fraudsters posing as the ATO saying you owe money after an audit and will want payment via Apple Itunes gift cards.

ATO scam, don't fall for it. Reported to local police and through the ATO scam report form.
