Funeral Insurance... I told them I am not interested in Funeral Insurance when they asked if I have it, the woman responded that she was not selling it, then went on about a company offering great discounts on funeral insurance. I've said before to take me off the list and stop calling, but they still do. I also get the missed calls with no message and the answered calls where they hang up after a few seconds. Damned annoying!

This is from a company called Whelan Strata Management and they have my number from Telstra as one of Telstra's customers. Since I installed a CapTel phone that I can answer I have received at least two or three calls daily from companies who have my name from Telstra. They hang up when they hear the recorded message that the call is monitored.

we no longer answer any 03, 02 or 07 numbers - they never leave a message. still get caught on 08 or private numbers but we hang up if they don't talk in first few seconds

As the numbers show on my phone , I then check this website to see what status they are , legit or otherwise , and I am now keep a list of these numbers by my phone , so when they ring , I pick up and put on loudspeaker but don't say anything . They hang up pretty quickly . Has worked nicely so far , giving abit of their own back in their faces
