LEGIT. I received a text from ‭0447 153 051‬ from NAB stating there was suspicious activity and to call 132265 or (03) 8436 7200. I looked in my app for contact numbers and the (03) number for fraud assist was different to the number shown in the app. I called NAB directly from my app and spoke to them. They confirmed my card had been compromised.

The (03) 8436 7200 you are told to call is NOT a NAB number. It is fraudsters trying to get you to give them your credit card details.

However, by the time you get the call, your card has already been used by them for illegal transactions.

Check your bank statements immediately, identify any unauthorised transactions. Then ring NAB on their CORRECT number or go into a branch to report the fraud and show them the sms you received.

The calls are made from overseas to Australia.

The crunch was not identifying me by name

I called nab and this number is legitimate nab number for fraud assist. It is not a scam

Someone from this number called asking for my mum, except she had her credit card with ANZ and she permanently cancelled it in March 2014 with no applications for another credit card with another bank.

Agree, this is a Scam number pretending to be NAB and they will ask for your credit card details.
