Why isn't it mandatory that communications companies block these nuisance calls at source instead of consumers having to put up with them?

Keeps calling, never leaves a message - expect to be a SPAM call

caller said she was from NBN and that they were seeing lots of warnings of malicious sites on my account. Asked for details, she couldn't provide them. Asked her what my IP was, she couldn't give that. Asked what my address was. She couldn't give that. Hung up.

Rang me a few times and this time around at 11.15pm. Who in the world actually ring at such a late hour? What are these people gaining from ringing numbers and not speaking?

Caller: I don’t know

Repeated calls to the answering machine. Hang up. No message left.

I give them two seconds to answer, if no response, I hang up. Same thing every time.

Every night around same time , I answer the call no one speaks , then it hangs up

The same as all the others - often rings late at night which is not good because I always think has something happened to my family. If I ring the number back it is either engaged or gets cut off.

My number is listed for no calls. How dare they call me? Shame....

Effing annoying. This number calls at least once a day. If I pick up......nobody there and call drops out. If I call back, nobody there...just an engaged tone. As I said, really effung annoying

They call my office twice a day - Obviously i answer > And each time i get hung up on.
Why cant something be done about this stuff ARG

No message left but same pattern of calls today from various numbers same prefix and what seem like associated numbers, never leave a message. No good trying to block as they seem to use a different number each tine?

Keeps calling, never leaves a message and when you call back you get the message " the number you have called is not connected, please check the number before calling again."

Don't answer. I always vet calls by letting them go to my Voicemail, but the hang up, without leaving a message. They have tried calling. early morning, and nighttime. I have marked them as 'nuisance' on my list of callers, and that is where they'll stay

Almost daily calls, no message left. Tried to call them once .. no answer. Definitely spam caller.
