This is a complete scam. I called Fines Victoria on a publicly listed number and they had no record of me.

Caller: spam

total (and sophisticated) scam. scammer is spoofing fines victoria number, I tested them to see if they could divulge an obligation number, and scammer said "you should know that".
You called me punk; you tell me what obligation number it references!!
Then he went on with "you will go to jail if you don't give credit card details to clear your debt" and I just hung up.

I concur that it probably wasn't Fines Victoria - as I have no recollection of being pinged for inadvertently breakin some revenue-generating Law. I just didn't answer the call. Notwithstanding, Fines Vic are an aggressive and difficult to deal with bunch, staffed with many who enjoy causing and exacerbating harm to people, so who knows who it really is behind the scamming - just be cautious, and if they contact you via other means for a legit fine, then tell them to stick their additional/delay fees up their proverbial because you were merely being cautious as the Gov't has asked yo to be, and clearly you can't trust their phone systems to be chasing them up, and who knows, maybe their email addy's are sometimes being spoofed too. The Gov't has domain over resolving those issues and shouldn't pretend otherwise.

The person was send a document of fine and only show me half of the document was showing drive 57 km.should driver 54 km that was 2016 of document.
