Seems legit. The number that called me was (03) 8373 9397 I googled it and it checked out. Tho I’d never heard of fines Victoria before.

I’m going to write a letter to the branch on fb and let them know that their method of calling sounds exactly like a scam.

SCAMMER. Do not give any details. Fines Victoria listed the issue on their Website and state that Fines Victoria NEVER call you. Fines are on the spot or posted only.

Caller: Vic Fines

This was the correct number for Vic fines. It is a desk number a direct link to the person from Vic Fines who called you. I rang this number back and received a clear English voice who spoke about a fine.

Did a google search of the number, led me to fines Victoria where they say on their website if you get a call from this number to call them. Definitely worth a call to fines Victoria 9200 8111 to check. Scammers? No doubt.

Caller: Caller with an Indian accent purporting to be from Fines Victoria

He left a message to call back. We have not done so, as we are unaware of any fines, let alone outstanding fines, so we believe it is a scam caller.

Caller: A guy, english accent

He said he was from Fines Victoria, he asked for my address and date of birth, I told him I did not want to give that information, I asked him to tell me that info if he was from fines vic, he said he couldnt. He said he wanted to take about fines under my name, I don't have any, I asked for his phone number, he said I would need to ring the fines vic number listed online. Scam.

Scam avoid bloody Indian scammer

Asked for name, DOB & Address. Said they were from Fines VIC. I said i wouldn't give my details. They said i have a fine due today and i just checked my bills and i actually do have a traffic infringement due Today. So i am up in the air if its a scam or not. I didn't give them any details but at the same time its true i do have a fine due Today just like they were saying.

I checked and the number isn't listed to be from Fines Victoria.

Definitely not their number asking for name address etc

Said it was from fines Victoria, But didn’t leave an infringement number so if they rang my message bank they had my first name .....
