You can hang up, but they will just call back. I've played along with the dumb questions but after a while I have better things to do. My new tactic is to ask for the company name and ABN. I'm still not sure what company it is (it's almost like they put the accent on thicker every time I ask for it) but today when I asked for the ABN, they drop the call faster than an apple with a worm in it. Hopefully that stops the calls.

I've been called a number of times today from this number. The couple of times I've answered there is no-one there. I've tried calling them back to see who it is and I get an engaged signal. Very annoying.

It looks like a Bona Fide company (see TIO.com.au) but that doesn't mean they're ethical. They are reluctant to answer certain questions & are vague when they do. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2003133

Very annoying people. They've been calling me up to 9 times per day, several days a week for the past 4 weeks. It's usually a different person calling but I always hear that pause after answering, followed someone asking for a name I don't know with call-centre noise in the background. When I tell them I'm not who they're looking for, they want to speak to the owner of the line. They're offering a cheaper telephone service but the line they're calling on is a business line, nothing to do with a home line service. I explain this politely but they don't listen, they talk over me and are very rude. When I've tried asking for name and number so I can call them back, they hang up. I have no intention of EVER purchasing anything from them but they keep calling. This is very annoying and a waste of my time and theirs.

Nice to know these people are still getting away with it! Is there anyone out there who can stop them! They keep doing it cause they know they can and no one is going to stop them! I'm tired of being pranked called by them even after I requested them to stop. Sometimes they go an hour of calling me every 10 mins. Other times just once an hour if I'm not silly enough to attempt to answer the phone!

I'm off work today sick, last time I checked my occupation isn't a receptionist answering the phone 9 times today claiming that my telephone bill will be deducted to only $59 a month, I don't even pay $59 a month because I don't use my home phone. "So I shall cut off your telephone line" my reply was try me!! Fu*king scum bags

Surprise surprise ! These idiots are calling other people non-stop, also. There's not much I can say, that hasn't already been expressed succinctly on this forum :-) . The guy with the metal pole - I shall join you, so let me know when you are going LOL ! By the way, the best way to piss these guys off, since there's not much anyone can do to get rid of them permanently, is to indulge them on their call for as long as possible: now, use your imagination here, and ask as many questions as possible, being serious at first so they think you are serious, but then drifting off into the area of trivial questions, ie can you buy it in red instead of black - can you lay-by it, can you have one sent to your aunty mary in Indonesia - can you have the product sent to a jail because you are about to be incarcerated LOL etc etc... You can also act like you are somewhat retarded (no offense to the genuinely retarded) and ask stupid questions, or get the credit card name and number wrong, and look for you reading glasses for 10 minutes while they have to wait, have a fight with your spouse over money and then ask for a discount, fight with the pet dog and cat for climbing on your keyboard etc etc, and then ask if you can call back in five minutes after you've taken your pills etc... do I have to say more? It works, believe me LOL. Really mucks up their day! Good luck!

They constantly call every 5 mins. Obviously on an automated dialer. I spoke to them once and they originate in the Philipines using the 03 number as a launch point in Aus.
