Looks like a robo scammer, they just try to keep you on the line to confirm your number is connected

Caller: Nab Legitimate call from NAB. Following up with customers and how they found banking with NAB. Perfect timing for me as I wanted to get a lower interest rate anyway, they did this for me on the spot and it was reflective in my APP the next day.

Caller: Scammer Recently switched to NAB - called seeking to 'verify details, in support of my broker' - asked for my personal details. Was a professional sounding person, Australian accent. I said no as they had contacted me first - they then provided me with NAB standard customer service number to call back, acknowledged I was doing the right thing by being careful. Flagged it with my broker who contacted NAB, they had no record of needing to call me. DODGY!!!

Caller: Vanisha or something Finally decided to pick up the call and was clearly a scam. Kept on reiterating that she is calling from "National Australia Bank" and kept on repeating my first name. Asking if I wanted to sell my property. I didn't go further with the call and just blocked the number. Also when you call the number back, would not even connect.

No message left but True Caller app identified it as a Scam NAB call. Attempted to call back (with my number blocked) and it was 'engaged'. Suspect it is scam call looking at all the notes in ReverseAustralia. Thought it prudent to post as no recent comments / posts since 2021.

I have had multiple calls this week from this number and no one answered when calling back. I have home loan with nab and applied through lendi to compare cheaper rates around. I didn't follow through with lendi suggested option as the suggested better rate was only $27 a fortnight better from what I'm currently paying with NAB, not worth all the exit fees for me but since application through lendi have been getting calls from this number.

This number is irritating as they do not have a return call service. A message advises me that the number is not in service. I never dodge calls but almost always miss this one. At times its only nano seconds out f reach. The call rings for a nanosecond then stops. But please leave a return number or at least a message. I don't need a lecture about money management, I either need more money or fewer fees - NAB are outrageously expensive compared to others in the market. If I am in arrears its due to a banking error I make with a brain injury they still charge like bulls. I also use ING who are marvellous and ill do anything to assist me. For 6 months I paid their loan twice every fortnight and not once did i pay the NAB.. My bad. Its up to date now but the 1,000 in extra charges as a result is difficult to accept as it was a brand new loan and new customer with NAB plus i was in ICU and a little guidance was needed but unavailable. The guy on thephone in lending made up all this stuff and of course none of it was factual. I think he was new, but it cost me a kidney and while both loans forthe same amount at the same time I owe NAB about 2,500 more than ING. GO figure. Even the NABs interest rate was offered as lending rate of 8.99 and when it came time to sign the contract a week later they said thats for people who own their own homes, I said I didnt own my home last week when you promotoed 8.99 and now its 12.99% why do you charge the renters more, they are lest likely to afford it. Its like living in an echo chamber Compaints are documented and promised folloupnever happens. There fraud team is ruthless in a good way They dont fcuk around. I like that. BUt seriously NAB - it would be nice for the NAB toset a standard in customer care and profits. While still making billion a year for shareholders abolish the fees for anyone on a unsecured loan, ditch the itch with establishment and defy the market with a drop of 4% in the unsecured rate. If ING can do it with have the experience and resources of NAB - they all can including the NAB. ITs Xmas, No missers allowed. Ive nevr understood why banks charge the poorest the highest rate for the lesst service and money loaned. Yet a fat cat get ultra low %'age rate and no fees and no charges and saves thousands (cuase that will help with the next investment property.
Why do banks let people hoard housing and the tax law allows them additionaly benefits from hoarding housing. If toilet paper is not allowed to be hoarded then houses are out too. one home per family.

Caller: Joanne Joanne from NAB called. There was a short silence right after I answered where I could hear breathing. Must've just been waiting for me to connect before checking if I was there. She congratulated me on a recent home loan settlement (which did happen with NAB) and wanted to confirm some details over the phone. Asked if I had time "this afternoon". I'm based in Perth so it was still morning at the time. Maybe she should know the city I'm in before calling?
Told her not a great time right now and she said she'd email me.
Another thing to note: She knew my name before I said anything.
