I got a few calls from this number during the last two days. When I answered, there was no response from the other side. Apparently there are idiots.

Update on my previous message.. just sent this to Telechoice via e-mail to reception @ telechoice.com.au
"I am receiving calls to my mobile now my Optus contract has completed – the phone/contract was signed with you if I recall correctly. The number I am receiving calls from is (03) 8256 7610. I have been told that this is a Telechoice number. I do not wish to receive further calls from your company. My mobile number is xxxxxxxxxx. Could you please confirm that I’ve been removed off of any marketing list you may have by return e-mail. Should I receive further calls, I will make a note of the times and dates and report same to the Telecommunications Ombudsman. Thank you."
I received this response back the same day...
"My apologies for all the inconvenience .We have deleted the mobile number from the dialers list so be assured you’ll receive no further calls from us.

called it back from another number today (not my mobile) and actually got through - normally the number just hangs up...
Was Optus calling me to 'put more bonuses on my account'...
Yeah riiiiiiiight.... So I requested they stop calling me as 2 weeks of it every day has driven me up the wall!!
She said they would.... will see if I get another call tomorrow...

I get this number calling me atleast 2 to 3 times a day! It actually makes you want to port your number to another carrier... GO AWAY

i got 2 missed calls from this number today. My phone contract would have ended with telechoice optus just about now although i have already renewed my contract with OPTUS not telechoice. They did not leave a message.

They are still at it! I missed the calls, and Googled the number. Glad to find this info - I've sent an email. I too moved from Telechoice to a "normal" Optus dealer - and am happy I did. Thanks.
