same here - applied with veda yesterday , today I get this hangup call - will just block the number on my iphone

Who told you it was "VERDA" that rang, I click on the search icon and come to this page, does not tell me who the caller is, maybe it is but I'd still like this site to answer MY request!!!!

I just had the same thing happen to as you Anne. I requested a free credit report. Received 2 phone calls today...with the caller hanging up within seconds of me answering the phone.

It would great if these companies exercised a little more professionalism. Especially given they have custodianship of our credit and other personal information.

Grrr....good to have a gripe though. So thanks :-)

I too applied for a credit check through Veda and just missed a call from this number. I haven't even received my free credit check that I opted for via email

calls and when answered it hangs up... thanks to the other commentators on this thread.... i too applied the free credit check through veda specifying i didnt wish advertising....

OMG... Veda looks after updating your credit file. There is nothing shady about them. It IS weird about the whole hanging up thing but if you've applied for a free credit report, you would have given them your details then! if they know your information, it's because you gave it to them already! stop being so paranoid!

Put in a request for my credit report after getting told by a different agency that they didn't hold my credit file. Missed a call, rang back, and it was a marketing call from Veda asking if I wanted to get my credit score as well. I will be complaining to them as I gave them my number per my request for my report not to get bugged to purchase extras.

Applied for Veda and got this 3 seconds call. Should the police be looking into this?

Applied for free credit report yesterday after 28 Degrees sent me an email to contact Veda because
"Veda has indicated that they were unable to verify all or part of this information against their records."

Yup! I'm here after applying to Veda for my credit file. I've had my first call/hangup.

I had this thing today.. BS

Last week, received a call from them twice, First time they spoke, it was Veda, told them i did not want the credit score, only the history which is on the free report, asked them them to remove my number from their dialler. This week for the second time, they did not speak...Very poor customer service

Yep same thing as you all. Ordered a free credit report through Vega.
Just answered the call and after 5 seconds they hung up without saying anything.
I said hello three times and 'click'. So rude.

I too am experiencing the same issue. Applied for free credit file via Veda last week. Not impressed.

As for all others. Requested free credit report and stated email contact only so is privacy breach.

Very rude of Veda calling then not answering when you pick up the phone if its not Veda then what business do they have of giving out my number to a third party .what is the use of the DO NOT CALL REGISTER .Very unethical business practice of Veda

I did the same thing from channel 7 and have had quiet a few spam calls. We should complain to channel 7 as well.
