I requested a free report yesterday. Answered a call today and was being pestered to upgrade to a $59 yearly subscription report, which I don't and didn't ask for. After failing to upgrade me, I don't think my free report is even coming.

Ok, so it's from Veda! I applied for free credit report yesterday and today received 2 missed calls from this number (03) 8256 6715. thats very disturbing to know that a well-known company like Veda would give my personal info to a third party. I'm worried now, what else would they use my details for and will the credit report i receive (if it does come!) accurate?

Wow, exactly the same thing has happened to me. Applied for my free credit report yesterday and a call has come into my work phone from the above number and after several "hello"s, they just hung up. Just rude!

Yes,same, applied with veda free report and got the miss call from this number each day. When i answer they hung up.... just wondering if anyone finally got the "free credit report"?

Can't blame them for trying.....that's the marketing game....and did we all untick all the boxes to stop them from calling??? Biggest issue here is that they not there when we answer but assume an overloaded auto dialer problem. I just interested to know if anyone actually got their free report and was it accurate??

I received a call from (03) 5826 2426 after applying for my credit report. I didn't answer in time and didn't call back. I received a call today from (03) 5826 6715 and same thing happened. I thought I was on the No Call register.

Definitely VEDA - lodged "free credit report" request last night and had the call from this number this morning.....

Started to get calls day after submitting credit request to veda. Preferred contact was email and I Declined to share information with third parties. Number now registered as spam in my phone. Problem gone.

I applied for my free Veda Credit report and the phone rang next working day, and hung up. Telemarketers have been ring on my mobile although I ticked the box that I did not want my details provided to third parties. Most annoying that a non reputable company now has my details.

Glad I found this thread, same thing here, the first time it rang and I answered they hung up straight away. They also rang my husband, but he deliberately didn't answer. They rang me again today but I missed the call.

Same here! Missed call. No Voice Mail. I applied for a "free" credit report yesterday, asking for no marketing. *sigh* I should have known NOTHING is for free!!!

I spoke to a Veda consultant asking why they had contacted me ??

Why it hangs up Answer: it's an Automated system
Why did they Call (Even tho I put contact by email only Answer: sales call as I only get report and no Credit Score
I strongly objected and she will have my number put on the "No Call List "
