tried to ring this number get message call could not be connected

This caller has been ringing consistently for many weeks. As soon as the number is blocked, they use another one. All the numbers start with (03) 8242. I rang back from a public phone on one occasion. There was just a tone like it was disconnected.

Seems to be a PC driven daily call. Never leaves a message. No message, no answer, pretty simple really.

I've been called by the same number for the past few days as well. Do idea why.

I did not pick up

Had a call from this number stating they were an energy company, when I said I didn’t want a discount the person shouted LIAR and hung up. Definitely a scam.

If you’re not in my contacts , I don’t answer so they’re wasting their time

Spam constantly calls from different numbers but it’s the same telemarketers every tin

I answered and person said they were from Powecor. They already had my name and wanted to tell me how to save on electricity. I don't think this number is legit.

Got missed call from this number, tried calling it back but unavailable which means, It's a telemarketings

marketing I expect: have blocked it.

They leave a message for 1 minute saying Hi? Hello? anyone there? and then some non-sense stuff after that like "Is anyone there or I'm talking to myself and you can hear in the background that others are doing the same thing to another victim's phone!

I called the number (03) 8242 5468 and received a message that the mobile number I was calling had been disconnected. I assume that they have incoming calls on divert to a disconnected mobile number. ANOTHER ONE TO BLOCK

Caller: She wouldn’t give her name

Reckon it’s a scammer. I asked if they were trying to sell me something and they said no and then started with the usual spiel about informing me about energy options. I told them I’m on the do not call register and was sick of receiving their calls. Then I asked her for her name and the name of her company and she seemed outraged, and told me I was very rude and hung up. Which pretty much confirms total scam! So sick of getting these scam calls from a slightly different number nearly every day..
