Complete scam. Asked for another of my family members so they must have hacked some contact list, saying my Amazon account was hacked at 4am. Neither of us even have an Amazon account. Awful woman.

A guy with an Indian accent trying very hard to sound Aussie said his name was “Gerry” and he is calling about my internet. Said he noticed my IP?? has been dropping out. I asked him straight out whether he was a scam caller? And he said “scam caller??” I said, yes, are you a scam caller trying to scam me?” .. and he hung up. These pathetic low life’ have no shame in trying to swindle innocent people. Why isn’t there a law yet where companies like Telstra can re-trace where these calls are coming from and arrest these idiots!

Reported name was David from Commonwealth bank. Indian accent. Low pitch almost static like humming/buzzing sound in background coming from other end — which is a sign phone call is tapped/recorded, so be wary of potential voice cloning scams/attempts, say as little as possible initially when answering unknown numbers and hang up immediately if suspicious; there have been cases of using AI to replicate people’s voices to bypass voice recognition security measures.

Caller: Scammer
Answered a call from (03) 7076 1280 as it’s a Victorian number (I am in sydney). There was a delay in them answering and a woman with an Indian accent advised she was calling from Microsoft. I said I wasn’t interested have a nice afternoon, she got aggressive and said she was calling in my best interests as I was a Microsoft customer in trouble. I hung up and blocked the number… also changed my Microsoft password.

Yesterday a man with a Chinese accent called me from this number. He knew my name and email address and said it's not safe. He said he is from some fraud department in Australia but I don't remember the name of it. I called him out by calling him a scammer and he hung up the call.
