Indian accent, said the vic gov is offering some energy tracking device. He knew my post code and name I don’t know how because I never answer with my name. I said I don’t want one. How does he know my post code and name. do I need to change passwords and details of things?

Caller: Victorian energy saver etc I had to ask a few times, says they are Victorian government. I rang relevant government department regarding their energy saver program. They say they do not pay or engage telemarketers for program. Am I on do not call list. Problem is Victorian government should be investigating this crossover. It’s terrible not knowing who to trust. Waste of money by government if their program is met with hostility and also exposes those who have had energy device fitted to scammers. Gov should be monitoring, stop incessant telemarketing calls and properly advertise who their contractors are rather than leaving to guess work by consumers. Whole thing is ridiculous!!

A lady rang to push for an installer to install a device on our power meter. This is the second phone call I received after I specifically told them I’m not interested in whatever they are peddling. I blocked the first number they rang from. I have to admit I was beyond angry receiving another call today from the same people but different number whilst at the emergency department with stress level running high having this person tie up my line with a nuisance call whilst I’m expecting a critical call.

My call which I did not answer was (03) 7067 5126. I know who it is based on the above comments. I received an sms asking me to reply yes to an offer from the Vic govt to help with electricity savings. I deleted it straight away cos I know it's a scam. They didn't get a reply via sms so now they're trying to ring me. Also didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number. And they didn't leave a message. Funny that.

3 missed calls so far today, all from the same people it seems from these discussions, they are just changing the number slightly because I keep blocking the other numbers.
So far in under two hours it has been: (03) 7067 5109, (03) 7067 5104, and now (03) 7067 5106. Prolific. You would have thought blocking the number would be a clue that I don't want a bar of it.
