Caller: Telstra

Stated there were internet connection issues had my email address my suposid ip adress and my first and last name and phone nunber and home adress. This is scary as my internet is not through Telstra they stated there was an internet connection issue. I confirmed with my internet company that the ip adress was incorrect as I use a vpn (ip adress blocker with my security softwear) in which I have multiple security softwear on my phone the only device I use other than a tv for streaming services not in my name. My socials use an alias name. This is very scary. They wanted me to pay as my last payment had failed to go through and if I didn't pay my internet would be cut off. I told them I would fix my payment through the app for my internet company apologising for a failed payment 🤣 I wasted 25 minutes of their time by asking them to direct me through my providers app in which I never told them who I was through 🤣 I said I was having difficulty trying to find payment options and they kept trying to get me to pay through them I kept saying hold on don't go I need your help to find the payment option. They lost paitence and hung up🤣 Be safe out there everyone.

They tried to tell me they were Telstra and something about my ip address on my phone, so while I had her on the phone I googled the number and then proceeded to tell her about the complaints about the number being a scam number and asked if she just worked for Telstra or for commonwealth bank too and that she should get a new number and she hung up lol

Incoming call was flagged as possible fraud, so I didn't answer and it went to VM. They left a message addressed to my first name, but no details of how to call them back. Will ignore if they call again.

Received a call from this number advising that my personal details had been used to create an Amazon account by someone in the US and that the account has been used to purchase items. If I didn’t go in and cancel the purchases then I would be charged for the purchases. The caller new my name and had some historical details that they must have obtained from somewhere.
