I'm sure it was a scam, he spoke in a foreign language for 3 seconds and then hung up. Maybe Arabic or Indian.

Heavily-accented caller introduced herself as "Jane" from "NBN" and told me that my IP address had changed recently. She then asked whether I had any problems with connecting in the past few weeks. I told her that I don't reveal personal details over the phone, said goodbye and hung up.

Caller: Someone claiming my internet had been hacked. Called to say 3 people had accessed my IP address from the other side of Perth!
Said they were going to block them and wanted me to be home to check the internet.
Obviously an overseas connection due to the time lag. Blocking the number.

Said they were from telstra nbn. Started asking if I was experiencing any difficulties. I said I'm not with telstra so why are they calling? She said it's all under the telstra network (not true) & that if i didn't answer it would all be shut down. I asked again why *they* were calling *me*, she said "well hang up then". K, will do
