Looks like it was Open Universities, who have now called me 3 times in the past 4 hours because I had a browse of their website and was stupid enough to provide my number to them.

I called back number (03) 7003 6828 reached IVR for Open University Australia.

From open university Australia. But at no time did I enquired about a course with them. So still be careful.

Despite already having an enquiry made and enrolling in a pathway, I ended up receiving at least 3 calls from this number for leaving my personal information on their website. Each call consisted of complete and utter silence with a voicemail left after the last. Upon playing said voicemail, the voices of staff cracking up in the background were audibly heard before receiving a message to call back for any enquiries about studying. No integrity whatsoever.

Called me 4 times in 7min,I blocked because 1) they didn't leave a message & 2) it felt like they were going to call me every 2min whilst I was at work

Called claiming I book in a call with a student advisor. Didn't answer because the number wasn't saved and phone blocked it thinking it was a scammer

They claim to be not for profit, and government based organisation, i did talk to the guy as i am interested in doing a course.
Only problem, where the call became a bit scammy, was when we were talking about course fees He suggested HECS/HELp, i said i had enough in my savings to cover me and did not want to go there. He kept pushing for me to get the government loan, i kept telling him i didnt want the loan - so they must make something out of that....i ended the call after multiple pushes from him to take out the loan.

Open University Australia also known as OUA. I filled in some information on their website. Answered the first few times they called and it’s been several weeks now they are starting up the calls. If call goes missed they won’t leave a voicemail and usually try once every few days hoping you will change your mind and sign up to a course with them.

Answered, but just silence on the other end so I hung up. I did not call back. Others have mentioned open uni, whilst I have been in contact with them in the past it hasn't been for years so not sure why they would be calling me if it is indeed them.

wants to know your date of birth and full name so they can verify thats its you to you about any interests you have about doing a course at uni. Got very annoyed when I wouldnt give my DOB or name.
