I have to agree with other comment listed. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia after bing admitted. As soon as i disagreed they forcibly grabbed me and put me on an order. Don't go there if you have any choice. I have been given medication that closed my airways. No one wanted to listen.
I don't have schizophrenia. They will try to make you take medication for life,which will destroy your life and health.

The people at Spencer Clinic do a wonderful job.
I know some people who have been there and they get a lot of help to get their life back on the right track again.

I had a very bad experience with a Srilankan Doctor in Spencer clinic few years ago.
I didn't have any symptoms of mental illness but she labelled as having Schizophrenia when I told her about the family problems I had with Pearlie. Because of the medications Iam taking I got Diabetyes , Obesity and Amennorrhoea.

Two people from Spencer clinic picked me from my home when I was living on my own and took me to Spencer clinic. I met a very bad Doctor from Srilanka Who said I have Shizophrenia when I had no symptoms of Schizophrenia . Now I am taking medication for last couple of years which resulted in Diabetes, Obesity, loss of menstruation . Also Iam looked down and insulted by family members as Insane and Psycho. People are taking advantage of me because of that Doctor.

Great caring professional staff who deliver best outcomes to patients, families and carers.
I am pleased to have been one of those privileged to have worked with those staff.
The staff need all the support they can muster from the community at large as they are integral to the well being of this community.
