i had several messages on my answering machine, American accent, telling about a court order and lcal police will pick me up. The court mentioned does not exist. screams scam

Scam message - said was from tax office. But ended up being a d*ck

Claims he is from the ATO and wants to let you know that a lawsuit has been filed against you for tax evasion. The number he wants you to call him back on is (03) 6107 9622. I rang the ATO not this number and they verified it as a Scam. Took the details and have forwarded them onto the Police. Apparently he has called many others using various other phone numbers as well.

Hey All I thought you have to be gainfully employed to even begin fooling around with tax evasion. the spanish accent gives him away. He'd probably make more money if he call and said "I have spent the last 10 years scamming people and I had a great thought, how would it turn out if I just told the truth , admitted to being lazy and asking for money without strings attached." He'd be a millionaire by now. Got to laugh so I don't cry!

Rang twice leaving a message both times claiming to be from Police Department advising that he was issuing a warrant for my arrest. Didnt say what the warrant was for but wished me a nice day. Voice & accent sounded like some one from the Philippines.
