Despite my being on the Do Not Call Register this marketing org called me two or three times. Telling them I wasn't interested in solar panels didn't work so I reminded them that their company can be prosecuted for ignoring the Do Not Call Register list. I haven't heard from them in weeks. Would be good to know how to go about getting them prosecuted though.

Call from company (Phillipines call centre) asking if we wanted to qualify for solar panels. The agent fibbed and said the company is Sunshine Solar but the real company is solarmarket.com.au which is connected to Thequotecompany.com.au a Perth based Telemarketer. The ABN is 53-154-910-004 for both and the telephone number is 1300 722 687. The address is 4/1 Howard st Perth WA 6000
If they call, get them to tell you their website. They will try to get you to book an appt for solar panels, which I said I was interested in (NOT- I want to bust them) but I needed a way to contact them in case I needed to cancel or reschedule.

Also on the no ring register. They ring ( In heavy Indian accent ) say It Is to do with Govt solar rebate then it just cuts out. Cannot return the call for they have then blocked the number. Entire call sounds strange and like the female talking is a recording they push.
One wonders If the new laws on using a electronic service to harass and intimidate with the jailing times can be applied to these harassing calls In the future.

They ring me at least once a month stating that I need solar panels, after the first call I told them we had 8 panels then they said I need more, I was polite but they were annoying so now when they ring I tell them I live in a fricken tent.

Hey "phone man" that is bullsh*t. We get marketing calls and I very politely tell them "thank you, we are not interested, please do not call again". Guess what, they call. After 3 calls and 3 polite "no thanks", my husband takes over and provides whoever the telmarketer is with an earful of filthy, disgusting abuse as they WILL NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. And they do not take us off their call lists. People are not complaining about a single marketing call, but repeated calls when they have said 'go away", "not interested", "take me off your call list". But you take no notice. Also, you choose where you work, so don't complain. Don't like the job, get better qualifications and a better job.

you sir are a tool of the highest order, and all it will take is for one person to have their eardrums hurt and you will be charged with assult! dont laugh it has happened before. how do i know this? it was me, got $75000 out of them aswell which ment i was actually able to stop telemarketing, so next time instead of blowing the whistle why not just offer to give them the money straight out, the reality of the situation is that nobody wants to be a tele marketer they are the sweat shops of the first world. the fact of the matter is the people doing this are trying to stay of welfare and support their familys while they look for other work. and just a little heads up all calls are recorded and your full name and address comes up on the screen when they call so there is no hiding from them and if like a lot of people i know from the call center finds you particularly rude you will find yourself getting crank calls from disgruntled workers at all hours for years to come, and when you change your number and get your next marketing call from someone new and you are rude again the cycle continues! next time tell them politely that you are not interested and could they please take you off their call list, it is a requirement that they do this and they will happily all they need to do is check a box on their screen and it is done. call centre operators know that the average joe does not like to be called by tele marketers but they are just trying to make a living. for those of you who have put their name on the no call list and think this gives them the right to hurl abuse down the line to the caller how about a reality check #1 they dont pick the numbers they get called automaticaly by the program on the computer, #2 if you had bothered to read the terms and conditions of the do not call register you will find that your name only stays on the register for 12 months and can take 3 months to take affect. so in conclusion try and be human to others they are just trying to earn a dollar the majority of them dont want to be there a hell of a lot more than you dont want the call. wanker

He called and asked for a responsible person. I said I am the only person home and that I haven't been responsible for decisions since 2009. (One lie, find it) He then asked if my wife was home. I said no. But then I also added that she wasn't my wife. But rather my mum. (She actually is.) The others in the house started laughing so I deliberately laughed loudly in his ear and hung up. When he calls next, I'm gonna pretend to be a burly Australian cricketer. Then a old man suffering from Alzheimers. And then a 6 year old. Bless Telemarketers.

Phone rings; pick it up; after intro's, ask who do they want to speak to?; say "hold on I'll get him/her" put the phone down for a few minutes.; replace it when the've gone. easy peasy.

Solar panel rebate spam. Rather polite though - a stark contrast to most spammy telemarketers

I've got a whistle beside the phone and give them a blast. Dunno if it hurts their eardrums (probably have a headset on I'm hoping) but I certainly enjoy using it. :D

Have constant calls from this number. Always around dinner time. I now check the screen and if it shows this number I just let it ring. Did answer one call a while back from same number. Some Indian call centre, bloke got upset when I told him I couldn't undertsand a word he was saying. Just hang up or don't answer these turds.
