Spoofed CLI

Why can't Telstra do something about these? Phone rings always at the most inconvenient times... I answer and the latest is nothing... then automated voice says "Goodbye".... soooo over these time wasting, opportunistic parasites :(

Just called me - I picked up receiver and when I didn't answer, the caller from this number hung up using the "goodbye pre-recorded message"

Caller: Apparently Sarah from Telstra Technical Dept

Scammers, called to get me to sit down and give them access to my computer due to technical issues. When I asked them to confirm my account number they repeatedly dodged the question and go more and more frantic. I ended up speaking with Nicholas (both he and Sarah had heavy Indian accents) and he advised that his managers name was Neil Jordan and that if I wanted to I should call 132200. I did and the 'real' Telstra told me they would never call to tell us that or ask us to sit in front of our computer.

They just rang me and told me my internet downloaded malicious files. then he tried to get me to sit in front of my pc. ( YEH RIGHT) Then i said what are you going to tell me that i can't connect both at the same time?? ( Being a smarty pants), Then the line went mysteriously silent. They TRY this all the time and get nowhere, especially when i tell them what they are TRYING to do, or i play along with them saying i am in front of my pc BUT actually i am nowhere near it. Then they hang up or TRY to insult me which never works.

Caller: Scammer - stae they are from Telstra Tech

Trying to get us to let them onto our computer remotely, supposedly to fix an internet problem we did NOT have.
Think their aim was to fix us up more like.

Caller: Hung up

Nobody was there when I answered. And then an automated voice said 'goodbye'. Probably a Telstra scammer call

Caller Man saying he was from Telstra technical wanting to solve problem with my internet
I told him we were not having problems. The caller persisted for much of the day, and went to voicemail without leaving a message

Caller: women saying she was from telstra technical

telling me that my internet service had a problem I told her I don't have the net she said sorry and hung up
